Art Therapy
Let an experienced and qualified Art Therapist guide you on a journey of rediscovering yourself.
Tashi Taten – Art Therapy
My courses have involved working with both groups and individuals.
Many people are unsure what Art Therapy is, so I have provided an overview.
Individual Art Therapy Sessions
Private sessions were an adjunct for group sessions or the preferred approach of each individual.
In these sessions, we worked together to choose the themes and modalities to use.
Group Art Therapy Courses
Our Art Therapy courses moved through a series of themes, applying different modalities.
Clients had the option of booking the whole course or choosing the themes they especially wanted to work on.
What is Art Therapy?

Many Different Modalities …
In Art Therapy, we open up our creative side by using a number of different modalities. Each modality can awaken creative muscles we may not have even realised were there.
It’s not about the outcome or creative result, it’s about immersing ourselves in the process.
These modalities can include: Drawing, Painting, Theatre, Versification (including story telling and poetry), Singing, Clay work, Creating Collages.

Many Different Themes …
In Art Therapy, as we explore different themes, we discover more of our inner selves.
The different themes relate to a variety of life situations and help us explore the different aspects of how we operate.
These Themes can include: Attachment types, Masks we Create, the Tree of Life, Self Esteem.
“Depression, anxiety and panic attacks are not a sign of weakness. They are a sign of having tried to remain strong for too long.”
How can Art Therapy help me?
Art Therapy helps us to know ourselves more deeply and develop our creative flexibility.

Using Theatre for Art Therapy
A Stonger Sense of Identity and Improved Self Esteem
Self awareness, through Art Therapy and the development of our ability to see into the influences of our lives, enables participants to be more authentic, and access greater creative responses to daily challenges.
In a sense it is like knowing you have access to more tools.
Relaxation, less anxiety and depression
Many participants find that with increased creative responses, their perspectives on life can adjust, with more flexibility and fluidity. As levels of acceptance increase, our ability to be creative does too.
More Confidence and Less Overwhelm.
Many of us suffer from a lack of confidence which we relate to not being in control. Rather than control, Art Therapy teaches us how to respond and persist creatively though challenges to positively influence outcomes.
“Depression comes from not knowing yourself fully and deeply”

“Practice any art, music, singing, dancing, acting, drawing, painting, sculpting, poetry, fiction, essays, reportage, no matter how well or badly, not to get money and fame, but to experience becoming, to find out what’s inside you, to make your soul grow.”
